I am a first-generation Latino graduate student and Division I athlete. I was a full-time student-athlete on the LMU cross-country and track team, with my main events being the 10k, 8k, and 5k. This sport encompasses my entire being and has taught me to be disciplined, hardworking, and a team player. Since the conclusion of my college career, I have become a marathoner and am currently training to compete in the Boston Marathon.

Not only am I an athlete, but I was also part of LMU’s Campus Ministry leadership team. I was part of the Formation Council (FOCO) where my responsibilities included reviewing and assessing the performances of our Christian Life Communities Small Group leaders, which I was also a part of. As leaders, we participated in bible studies and team-building exercises. My faith is one of the core attributes of what makes me the man I am today, and I try to keep God in mind when it comes to my work.

I am studying Public Relations and Advertising at the University of Southern California to obtain my MA. I have also gotten involved here at my new campus as a member of the USC REACH, a social media influencer club dedicated to uplifting fellow content creators. I have accomplished all this to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. Ever since I was a child watching Lord of the Rings with my dad, it has been my dream to be a part of the filmmaking process. I would like to one day work at a talent agency to promote minority actors and other fellow creatives in their careers.
